Welcome to my research site

I work as an associate professor at the Control Systems Group of the Eindhoven University of Technology. The main focus of my research interest is on identification and control of physical/chemical systems based on the concept of Linear Parameter-Varying (LPV) models. These models can be imagined as an intermediate step between the well understood framework of Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) systems and the vast universe of nonlinear and time-varying phenomena we experience in practice. One of my main objectives is to bring LPV systems to practical use, therefore I am currently involved in research projects from theoretical investigations of hardcore issues of the LPV system theory to practical identification and control of industrial applications. Besides the LPV framework, I also work on

  • Data-driven modelling of nonlinear/linear systems
  • Machine learning based modelling and control
  • Direct controlled system synthesis
